KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas leaders on Monday called it one of the biggest days in state history, likening the moment to winning a Super Bowl, as the Kansas City Chiefs confirmed plans to build a new domed stadium and relocate major team operations to Kansas. Chiefs president Mark Donovan said the decision was finalized late last week. Under the plan, the Chiefs will build a state-of-the-art domed stadium in Wyandotte County, along with a new team headquarters and practice facility in Olathe.
