How a pregnant Ukrainian Instagram influencer was used in a Russian disinformation campaign

On March 9, Russian forces struck a maternity and children’s hospital in Mariupol, Ukraine, leaving three dead at the scene and over a dozen injured. Many were horrified by the photos and videos of the aftermath. One photo, in particular, of an injured pregnant woman being carried out on a stretcher captured the sheer brutality of the bombing for everyone watching around the world.
