In 1995, Frank Roberts tried to improve the projection system at Atlas9, a mid-size theater in Kansas City, Kansas, that was hemorrhaging money to megaplexes. But his work went haywire, caused a massive power surge, and a secret government organization has monitored the theater ever since. So the mystery goes.
