Jackson County Legislature rejects senior property tax relief measure by 8-1 vote

A measure to potentially give tax relief to Jackson County seniors this year in the wake of huge property assessment increases failed Monday. The Jackson County Legislature defeated the measure by an 8-1 vote with only sponsor Sean Smith supporting it. “I think I overcame all the concerns.
