- NASA’s years-long Perseverance program has just crossed a major milestone with a successful landing on the Red Planet.
- Perseverance landed just as NASA planned, and it goes without saying that the mission controllers and engineers were elated with the outcome.
- Now that the rover has landed, the fun stuff can begin, with scientific research and even a helicopter flight or two.
A mission many years in the making has just hit its stride, with NASA’s Perseverance rover successfully entering the Martian atmosphere, cruising to the surface, and landing, all while remaining in one piece.
