Nikon’s New Sensor is a Game-Changer! 17.84 million Pixel-resolution, 1,000 Frames Per Second, and More!

Nikon is working on a new sensor that could be a game-changer in the photography industry. The tech giant manufacturer announced its latest CMOS sensor at the International Solid-State Circuits Conference in San Franciso.

The company said that this new camera sensor is capable of generating around 17.84 million pixels resolution and a square shape around 1-inch diagonally. New Atlas reported that its high-speed readout allows you to shoot 4K video at up to 1,000 FPS.

Because of its advanced capabilities, it is considered on par with the latest Phantom Flex 4K. Ametek‘s official website stated that this camera can also shoot 4K videos but only produces 983 frames per second, lower than Nikon’s new sensor.
