CEO: New OP office has key role in A Place for Mom’s plan to double in size

As part of his plan to double the size of A Place For Mom Inc. in the next four years, CEO Larry Kutscher plans to create more than 600 jobs in the Kansas City area.

Nine months into his tenure leading the Seattle-based online referral company, which connects families to senior care resources, Kutscher said he wouldn’t be surprised if the company hired “north of 100” employees at its new Overland Park office within six to nine months. The company announced its plans to add the office on Tuesday. It has 850 companywide employees now. “Kansas City is going to be very critical to (expansion) because it’s enabling our innovation strategy. A lot of that is centered around segmenting our customers and treating them differently based on their different needs,” Kutscher said. “We’re developing new technology that enables us to do that as well as new marketing approaches and sales techniques.” […]
