Kansas City Launches New Mobile Payment App ParkSmartKC

Beginning today, drivers will use a new app to pay for parking in downtown Kansas City called ParkSmartKC. The app, developed by mobility management platform, Passport, can be used to digitally pay for parking at more than 1,500 on-street parking spaces and 5,000 garage and surface lot spaces in the city. The ParkSmartKC app is replacing the previous mobile pay app, ParkMobile.
To get started with ParkSmartKC, drivers can download the app and create an account with their payment information. When drivers park in downtown Kansas City, they can start parking sessions on their phones and add additional time remotely when the session expires.
