These are testing times, to say the least as the world is coming to grips with the coronavirus pandemic. Companies, individuals and governments are taking steps to ease pressure on people. Some of these steps — taken by companies — involve offering services free of cost, extending certain benefits to various sections of the society. Here we list out 15 such services, benefits being offered by tech companies:
2/16 TCS: Offering a 15-day free digital certification programme
A unit of Tata Consultancy Services, TCS iON, is offering a 15-day self-paced digital certification programme. Called Career Edge, the digital certification programme is designed for both college-going students as well as professionals across the globe.
3/16 Apple: Offering two apps free for 90 days
iPhone maker Apple is also offering apps — Final Cut Pro X and Logic Pro X — that act as tools to be used by creative professionals as well as by students. The Final Cut Pro X app has a 30-day free trial, which has now been extended to 90 days. Logic Pro X, on the other hand, didn’t have any free trial period but now is available for 90 days. time limit[…]
